Presentation

Securing the connected car

The increasing connectivity in modern vehicles has expanded the attack surface, making cybersecurity a critical challenge in the automotive industry. Traditional safety measures are no longer sufficient as vehicles evolve into software-driven systems with complex networks. This presentation highlights the shift from isolated embedded systems to connected environments, emphasizing the need for a structured, risk-based approach to cybersecurity. It explores industry standards like ISO/SAE 21434 and ISO 26262, secure coding practices and multilayered security strategies. By implementing best practices in software assurance, organizations can build resilient vehicle systems that withstand emerging cyber threats.
